More of Ann Coulter's Stupidity
On Ann Coulter's article titled "It's Hard Out There For A Pump" on 26 April 2006, she tries to blame Democrats for the high gas prices.
Typical tactic for a right-wing fascist to spread lies against the Democrats when it is Bush and the Republicans who have the closest ties to the large oil and energy companies, and whose interests are to help each other out to increase their profit margins at the expense of the poor and middle class Americans paying at the pumps.
The reality is, Democrats have voted to increase the building of oil refineries, while the Republicans have voted against it? The Republicans are the primary recipients for oil company money, so they wouldn't want to impose laws on their donors to build more oil refineries and deflate oil prices and company profits.
The reality is, the Republicans are the ones who have halted the development of alternate power sources, such as solar and wind, because it is too environmentally friendly.
The reality is, Bush is the one who is halting the use of United States oil reserves whien the price of oil has reached record levels in over 20 years, even adjusted for inflation.
The reality is, Ann Coulter and her right-wing fascists are the real liars in placing the blame game on the energy crisis.
I would be more interested in what the Democrats had to say about high gas prices if these were not the same people who refused to let us drill for oil in Alaska, imposed massive restrictions on building new refineries, and who shut down the development of nuclear power in this country decades ago.
