Gun Control vs. Pedophilia Control
Don't you just love the hypocrisy and stupidity of the far right? They claim gun control laws are ineffective because some felons will find a way to obtain guns anyway even when it is illegal. Therefore, all gun control laws are futile.
On the other hand, child pornography and pedophilia are illegal. However, pedophiles still manage to find a way to break the law and obtain child pornography or molest children, and too often more easily than obtaining illegal guns. Do the right-wingers simply give up because some pedophiles temporarily manage to break the law and make child pornography legal and easily accessible to the most demented segment of the population like they do with guns? No! They fight harder for tougher laws and punishment, although they ironically tend to be the perpetuators of child sexual abuse.
The issue of child pornography is severe and doesn't show signs of improving, as with gun violence.

More, serious child abuse found on Web - Four-fold increase in images of severe, sadistic sexual activity
LONDON - Images of child abuse posted and sold online are rapidly becoming more graphic and more sadistic and involving younger children, a British-based Internet monitoring group said on Tuesday.
In its annual report, the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) said in the last three years there had been a four-fold increase in the number of images involving severe abuse such as penetrative and sadistic sexual activity.
The group said nearly 60 percent of all commercial child abuse Web sites now sold images of child rape.
"Sadly we have to report new trends regarding the young age of the child victims in the images we assess and the dreadful severity of abuse they are suffering," said Peter Robbins, the IWF's chief executive.
The body, the official British organization for the public and IT professionals to log suspicious content, said the number of reports of child pornography it had received in 2006 had risen by 34 percent compared to the previous year.
It found that 80 percent of those in the abusive images were female and 91 percent appeared to be under 12.
