Mitt Romney's very bad month of July

On July 16, CNN came out with an accurate article called "Mitt Romney's painfully bad week", describing the major troubles his Presidential campaign and reputation were suffering in the first half of July.  But like so many Republicans and friends, the bad news keeps getting worse as his second half of July brings about more troubles, and bombed with a disastrous public relations nightmare in London.

Mitt Romney starts off in July by trying to appease some Black voters by speaking in the NAACP convention in Houston.  No success whatsoever, only boos.  He has no success winning the even faster growing Latino voters, either.  In an expensive Presidential race that costs a few million dollars every day, just another lost day of lost time and money.

Then the Obama campaign released a flurry of attack ads of Mitt's shady financial dealings in his company, Bain Capital.  This got the public, even the GOP, asking Mitt to release more tax records than just for 2010 and 2011 he released, especially to see how he earned or manipulated his obscene millions.  Mitt refused, although all other Presidential candidates released far more than two years of tax records.  Hmmm, what's he hiding, why is he afraid to reveal his success that we can all envy, unless there was something illegal or immoral involved?

Mitt tried to fight back, but only sunk deeper.  He may have misstated his departure to the SEC from Bain Capital, whether is 1999 or 2002, which would be a felony.  But it's so hard to tell when he won't release his tax records or explain his shady financial dealings.  By now the public finds out Bain Capital is a shady hedge fund money management company that allows the very rich and millionaires to take advantage of tax loopholes and tax evasion schemes by channeling their money to tax havens like Cayman Islands, Bermuda, and Switzerland, like how Mitt Romney does.  There is suspicion that Bain Capital generates illegal stock trade revenue through insider trading and pump-and-dump stock scams, but that is only speculation because Mitt won't provide us the details to quell the rumors.

He has been unusually silent about his political career.  Did you know he was governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007?  That was his only elected public office he held, but it's not well known as Mitt doesn't seem to publicize it well.  It turns out his Massachusetts governor performance was below average and disappointing, not disastrous like George W. Bush's presidency, but certainly nothing to boast about, which is why Mitt isn't boasting.

He supported universal health care as Massachusetts governor, but is now against it.

Mitt Romney's last few weeks turned out bad in America, but how are his foreign diplomatic skills?  Sadly, even worse, as his trip to London at the end of July turned out to be a scene from National Lampoons European Vacation, with Mitt Romney starring as the dumbass American tourist making a total fool out of himself and all Americans.

Mitt started his London tour by being interviewed by NBC's Brian WIlliams.  In addition to making some ignorant comments of British culture, it was Mitt's criticism of London, using words like "disconcerting", and "That obviously is not something which is encouraging" to describe London's preparation for the summer Olympics.  This riled up London, with British Prime Minister David Cameron retaliating by saying, “We are holding an Olympic Games in one of the busiest, most active, bustling cities anywhere in the world.  Of course it’s easier if you hold an Olympic Games in the middle of nowhere.”  David Cameron was indirectly referring to Mitt's leadership of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Utah, which was in the "middle of nowhere".  Then Mitt made headlines across London's newspapers, being called "Mitt the Twit" and "Party Pooper Romney".

Only July has finished and there are over three months to go in the Presidential race.  Whether in America or overseas, Mitt Romney is making Sarah Palin look like a genius.  What a long and painful race downhill for the GOP.
